That last word, "Ranma no Baka" killed the mood.  Never do this
again.  Fortunately, you stopped the baka usage after this point.
Fics like this should never used cliched Japanese phrases.

I have to disagree, here. Cliched, maybe... but it *is* the phrase that
Akane uses all the time in the subtitled releases. (Can't speak for the
original Japanese-language manga, since I can't read Japanese, but I have
learned enough spoken Japanese to recognize that phrase. ^_^) I thought
it was the perfect capper to that speech, and perfectly in character. The
original Japanese phrase also has a certain punch that none of the
translations I've seen can match.



Zen can read the manga.  The only manga characters Zen has ever seen that
use the term Baka *more* that Akane are Mian Toris and Wataru, from Caravan
Kidd.

She says it ALOT in print too! ^_^

(Which, as it happens, is a good thing.  Otherwise Zen would be in trouble
when *his* fic hits the ML...)

Okay, so it's normal to say "Ranma no Baka" in Ranma 1/2 or "Darlin no Baka" in UY.
But you know that's in Japanese.  How does Viz handle it?  I don't hear them going baka
 this baka that baka you all you muther bakaer ect...  I just don't see myself arguing with
 someone then he/she says "Jang no Baka!!!" I'm sure you creative people out there can substitute 
Ranma no Baka with something with the same effect.  Oh, read my fanfic I posted up called "Fanfiction."  Please.
