After stating that, I've gotten a couple of replies from people thinking
I shouldn't kill the story outright, but go ahead and put it on my web
page.  I'm not so sure; I'd need to rewrite it to reflect the excellent
C&C I did get, and I'm just not convinced it's worth the effort.

Anything that you post and get comment on is worth putting up. Leave it up 
to the readers to decide if they like it or not... It's their problem, not 
yours.

So I thought I'd ask y'all, the ones who stayed silent:  What did you
think, really, of that story?  Should it die and never see the light of
day?  Was it so-so, maybe okay but not okay?  Or is it that you just
don't like lemons in general? (I actually fall into that category.)

Actually, I think you're doing yourself a disservice in calling it a 
lemon fanfic. IMHO, it was a fanfic WITH sex in it, not a lemon. The sexual
situation you portrayed was realistic and not overtly gratuoutous. It seems
to me that in all of the fuss over the sexual content, the fact that there
was quite a good story in there seems to have been lost. 

Fact is, it wasn't that bad and you should put it up regardless of 
negative comment. If people don't like it, screw 'em! They don't deserve
your work. 

In more general terms, I have to say that I am not much of lemon fan myself 
and I always like the use the immortal words of John Biles in an instance 
like this. He said, "Sex is something you do, not something you read" and I
agree with him. 

OTOH, I must confess to a certain affection for Kun-chan's Nibun no Ichi 
series because, A) I edited it, and B) it's one of the only lemons around 
with a plot, and about the only fanfic that looks at life in Nerima after 
the characters got married. 

Let me know, if you would.  

Post it. Don't let the whining of other less skilled people put you off, 
and never sell yourself short....
