As long as both A-ko and Ranma keep levelheaded, Ranma should have a
slight advantage, as A-ko should prove no more effective at landing
punches on Ranma than Akane has been. (In A-ko's case, she'd only need
to land one full strength punch to decide the matter forever, but she is
stongly conditioned against using her full strength on people. If you
look at Project A-ko #1 again, you'll notice that even after A-ko drops
the "B-ko-san", she still holds back her punches)

On the other side, Ranma's technique of multiple blows to vital spots is
probally the right one to use against A-ko exponential
defenses. (Hitting A-ko twice as hard only hurts her a little bit more).

Should Ranma not keep calm, A-ko will connect and even if A-ko is
holding back the game will be over right there.

If A-ko goes berserk, she'll start smashing up the environment, making
Ranma's footing less steady, and thus favoring A-ko by shifting away
from attrition to chance events.

Is it just me, or do the two Ranma's have slightly different
personalities and fighting styles? She seems to be more vain and
collected while he seems more willing to take risks. I don't see her
jumping out of a random third story window without looking or him
bragging about how well built he is. This effect, if it exists, is
subtle enough that Ranma isn't tipped off to the transformations by
it. If this does make any difference, I'd suggest a cold shower for
Ranma before facing A-ko, as no single high-risk maneuver he would pull
would be likely to decide the issue.
