Alas, how cruel fate is.
I'm now resigning as a fanfiction writer.  My code of honor (don't ask) 
does not permitt me to infringe on the law.  Due to a recent E-mail, I 
have discovered that, infact, fanfic even with disclaimers are illegal.  
I you want any fics from me I send what I have already written and 
discribe what I was going to write, but not another fully reallized 
fanfic will be submitted from me.

If fanfiction's were so illegal, then half of all of us fanfiction writers
would be attempting to do them in a teeny tiny 5 X 6 foot cell in the local
cop shop or club fed. But we're not. I have yet to see any of the original
authors come after any of us for adding our own dimensions to their
wonderful stories.  In fact, and I know this for one, most authors find it
quite flattering that so many people like to write thier own little add ons
to the authors' stories.  So long as the people don't try to pass off the
authors work as their own,  it is generally accepted by the community at
large that this kind of fan adoration is alright. So lighten up, have fun
and keep writing.  Don't let someone quoting "scripture" from the holy book
of law put a downer on your enthusiasm because as far as you know, they
could be just some irate 'fan' that is using you as a target for thier
frustrations or vengence.  Until they come to you with official documents
and such clearly stating that your stories on the net are in clear violation
of some 'law'  of something-or-other, keep your head-on-high, your
brain-a-churing and fingers-a-typing and let's see your stories on the net soon.
