No wonder you're having problems completing it!  You're trying to
rewrite "Shogun" (one of my favorite books, btw).  The amount of stuff
you're trying to plot makes me tired just thinking about it.

       Same here, everything except "Shogun" as favorite book.  Replace
that with "Musashi" or that other book by Eiji Yoshikawa and yes I did
consider a Musashi inspired fanfic which I thankfully never started.
Everything seems fine right up until the conquering of Japan.  Really I
don't think it's important to actually script the battles waged in proper
military fashion.  If anything use bits from the Ancient Art of War as
basic stratagem.

I never read Musashi either. Yeesh. I HAVE read the Art of War by Sun Tzu.
Honestly, I planned on using some strategem from that, (higher ground battles,
etc), but I ran out of steam around the ronin Ryouga showing up.

       Altogether this fanfic doesn't feel related to the others.  Those
were all more along the lines of a what if, this is like an other worlds
type thing.  It could be a great stand alone fic, it doesn't seem right as
part of the series.  Most of the others came in over 100 pages this looks
like you could 200+.

John said the reason was that one of 'em Robes got really desperate and started
changing the whole WORLDS around the wishes.

Right now, I'm starting to wish I did either the Ryouga or Mousse ones. :)
