What *is* the frame story?

The Frame story involes Purple Robes, who is trying to find some way to 
alter history to achieve a desired result.  Thus Purple Robes, having 
run out of ideas, is usuing the desires of those who live in Fruinkan to 
create alternate timelines, hoping one of them will produce the desired 
results.

The final story of the first elseworlds series will wrap up the "frame" 
story, which is the story that connects all the elseworlds (described 
above), in addition to showing many brief what ifs.
