Well. This is the beginning to...something. :P What it'll be, I'm not
sure. As always, C&C appreciated (that's what ya'll're here for, ne?)

Space is a really, really empty place. At least, to those who live
on the Earth, it is. They haven't seen anything from the skies since,
well, since the Disaster devastated the land. For the people of
Chi-Town, it was a day like any other, especially for those in the
'burbs of Chi-Town, the shootings and robberies had actually
lessened a bit, they figured it was time for a break. Besides
which, word was out--something big was gonna happen, and happen
soon. They had *no* idea. The Coalition had heard, but didn't
particularly care, as long as it didn't interfere with *their*
business. None of them knew just what they were in for.

It was just another night for the Sabers, just your typical everyday
Boomer rampage, about twenty of the buggers flying around and generally
wreaking havoc. The Sabers were generally kicking ass and taking names,
except, of course, for Nene, but even she was a little more than
marginally effective, much to everyone's surprise.
Nene checked her sensor readings.. "Five down, fifteen to
go...there's a pack of 'em three blocks down."
Priss almost cheered. "Let's go!" Sylia shook her head
slightly, but lead the group onwards, to the next grouping of
chaos, in the form of six of the berserkering Boomers.
Somewhere, someone--or something--was observing the Sabers, the
Boomers, and chuckling quietly, but insanely. "Perfect..they'll
be perfect for my little...test. Very amusing...." it whispered,
spinning around in maniacal glee. It looked back down upon the
Sabers and their prey, then snapped his fingers. Silently, without
fanfare, the Sabers disappeared, along with the Boomers. The figure
paused a second. "They will need guidance..." It snapped its
fingers again, and, again without fanfare, Largo disappeared. The
figure chuckled again, spun around, and left, not that anyone knew,
of course.

Nagisa jogged along, panting slightly as she hit a train crossing
that actually had a train crossing, and she jogged in place. As she
hopped back and forth on her feet, she thought about the drastic
changes her life had taken not more than two months ago. Well, it was
really only one change, but it was still drastic. That change was,
specifically, Iczel, who she could feel watching over her even now,
protectively. Of course, Iczel wasn't the only change in her life--
along with Iczel had come the androids of Chaos and Cross, the evil
brother/sister pair that intended to destroy the earth. Iczel (and
the other Iczelions) had recruited her to help fight Chaos's menace,
and, after much debate (and many attacks on her person by Cross and
various Voids,) she decided to join them. During her initiation into
Iczelion-hood, she had managed to defeat Cross quite handily.
Catching and defeating Chaos was quite another matter. It was almost
all the Iczelions could do to repel the constant Void attacks, much
less defeat the Voids' master.
Nagisa hopped back and forth rhythmically, willing the train to
move faster. "C'mon..I'm gonna be *late*..." she muttered, more to
herself than to anyone else. She jogged, and jogged, and stared hard
at the far end of the seemingly never-ending train, and mentally
cheered when she saw the last car appear on the horizon. Alas, she
was not meant to cross the train tracks at this moment in time.
Iczel appeared beside her just as the world started to swirl
around like watercolors. Iczel announced, "It's another dimension,"
as reality resolved into a broken-down version of her world. Nagisa
nodded, and looked at Iczel. "Charging up!"
In a flash of light, Iczel and Nagisa had combined, Iczel's body
forming a battlesuit for Nagisa. (Neener neener, I'm not doing the
magical-girl style transformation for you :) Together, they became
simply Iczelion, an nearly unstoppable power. An eerie laugh echoed
from all around Iczelion in this twisted rendition of Earth, as
several equally twisted forms stepped out of the darkness.
Iczelion hmphed. "You're all so persistent, aren't you?"
It was a rhetorical question, of course. The only response was
the laughter...and a vicious barrage of attacks that would rip nearly
anything to shreds. Iczelions aren't just anything, though, and
Nagisa dodged with an ease born of much practice. Before she could
counterattack, however, an audible >snap< could be heard, and for the
Geas and Iczelion, time froze. A figure wearing a shapeless bag of a
trenchcoat and a battered fedora stepped from a ripple in the air into
the frozen dimension. Fine, snow-white hair covered the being's face,
and it's clothes made it impossible to distinguish sex. It chuckled
with a not-quite-sane glee, somehow sounding flat and emotionless even
when happy.
"Yes....the potential in this one..." it murmured, and was
about to snap its fingers when it paused.
"Not one...but...four? Perfect...perfect..." and then it snapped
its fingers. In a totally light and sound-less flash, Iczelion
disappeared, as did the Geas. Elsewhere in the dimension, the three
other Iczelions disappeared as well, as well as Chaos and his entire
army. Though this Earth would not know it, it was about to receive,
inadvertently, a time of relative peace.

Ahh.....the Masaki household. Truly, a wellspring of peace and
tranquility, perfect for the Shinto teachings.
That is....until the day Tenchi found the sword. Since then, the
harmony of that place, undisturbed for centuries, now rather looks
like the lead sheet for a heavy metal band. As for peace? Well, let's
say that Tenchi sure would like some. He had to say one thing about
the whole thing--it sure was never boring with the Juraians around,
not to mention Ryouko and Washuu.
Tenchi yawned, sitting up in bed, rubbing at his eyes sleepily.
*CRASH* *BOOM* "Yaaaaa!!!!!!"
Tenchi did the natural thing--he flailed and fell out of bed.
"What the--?" "Ooof!" He sat back up, on the floor, rubbing his head
and muttering. "What's going on down there?"
Downstairs, Ryouko and Aeka were shouting at each other, arguing
as usual. The subject of this argument? "I'm going to make breakfast
for Tenchi today!" This, in Aeka's soft, yet indignant voice.
Ryouko laughed. "My dear princess Aeka. Do you really think that
Tenchi would eat anything *you* cooked?"
Aeka fumed. "You, you evil *old* thing! Why, I'm sure that
whatever I cook would be a hundred, no, a thousand times better than
your slop!"
The argument continued much in the same way, drowning out the
sounds of Sasami cooking a *good* breakfast. Eventually, Tenchi got
the two separated, and the whole household sat down to Sasami's meal.
After breakfast, Sasami cleaned up the table, and Ryo-oh-ki and
Tenchi went off to pick more carrots. Mihoshi, Ryouko, and Aeka all
busied themselves with something or other. Aeka and Ryouko were
Plotting(tm), and Mihoshi...well...Mihoshi was doing *something*. No
one knew quite what it was, but it wasn't randomly destructive, and it
wasn't disturbing anyone (yet), so no one tried to stop her.
Washuu frowned at her computer. "Impossible..." She grabbed a few
of her Instruments of Science(tm), and wandered out of her lab,
engrossed in the readings her IoS were giving her.
Washuu wandered by Ryouko, who was relaxing with a bottle of
sake, muttering, "...it can't be..." Ryouko looked at Washuu
all-puzzled like, but before she could utter a sound, Ryo-oh-ki came
bounding in at an *incredible* rate, slamming into Ryouko. Ryouko, of
course, being humanoid-sized, and a rather strong demon to boot,
didn't budge one inch. Ryo-oh-ki looked up at her with scared eyes,
tugging at her sleeve. Ryouko piku'ued at the cabbit. "What is it?"
Washuu frowned. "I think Tenchi's in trouble, out in the carrot
fields."
Ryouko didn't even hesitate. She flew out of the house, shouting
"Tenchi!!!" regardless of Washuu's half-hearted warning shout,
"Hey...be careful..."
Washuu shook her head and quickly gathered the other folk of
power, even Mihoshi. She had a feeling that they'd all be needed soon.
Even Mihoshi.
The small group, consisting of Aeka, Mihoshi, Youshou, and Washuu
herself, marched through the small forest surrounding the shrine/home
towards the carrot fields. What they saw upon entering the clearing
shocked them and nearly bowled the entire group over.
Tenchi and Ryouko were hanging limply, as if someone had turned
them into a puppet and cut half the strings, in front of a being that
Washuu recognized immediately. She said nothing, however, while
Mihoshi tried to arrest this thing for, well, "I'm sure there's *some*
law that you're breaking..."
It laughed, an evil, chilling laugh the likes of which have only
been matched by Kunou Kodachi. "Come, my friends... I have a game for
us all to play." Before another word could be said, it snapped its
fingers, and for everyone in the field, the world became darkness.
