This is bizarre because I always felt Ukyou would make a
terrific Ivanova.  Anyhow it depends on what you mean
by cross-over.  Are we talking 50-50 personality merges, 
30-70?  Sheridan isn't like Ranma anymore than any of the
other characters are like each other. What makes you think
Sheridan and Delenn have to act like Ranma and Akane?
B5 characters are B5 characters, I'm talking about maintaining
basic personalities and some relationships.  If you make 
Ukyou into Delenn then you are the one taking the cross-over
far from it source because then we'll have Ukyou/Ranma romance,
and Akane acting as the platonic friend.  The entire Ranmaverse
circles around the Ranma/Akane romance, you change that and
you're the one messing with established characters.
BTW I'm on Ukyou's side which is why I made her into Ivanova!
Not only is she too good for Ranma but both Ukyou and Ivanova
are strong, career/business women.  Ukyou like Ivanova do not
have a significant other, yet have someone pursuing them.

What would you consider more improtant in a crossover like this?  Keeping
the realtionships the same or changing characters that are similar?  I don't
think you could do an Ukyou/Ivonova Akane/Dalen crossover without mangling
th B5 characters, and that would ruin it for us hard core B5 fans.  Akane
and Ivonova have the same *temper*ment and IMHO make a good match.
