As a man with just one sister, I have to agree.

   Well, AFAIK incestual relationships in Japan aren't anywhere near as taboo
   as they are in the US.  I've been told by exchange students that it occurs a
   lot more frequently than people think.  So I thought it was fairly logical
   to have Ranma fall for Ranko, or vice versa.

Then again, said sister is not a nice person.  This theme seems to be
popular in manga; I've been wondering if some of the popularity is due
to the concept of having a nice sister to begin with....  (Or brother,
although I have no idea if this theme is popular with women.)

   But for the moment, they've only found each other fairly attractive
   (sexually speaking).  I haven't really thought about having them go all the
   way.  But since Ranma has never lived with a sister in the house, he'd have
   to be fairly tempted by someone as good looking as Ranko.  (IMHO)

   Since you've lived with your sisters (I'm assuming) for quite awhile, you
   have the 'She's my sister' complex.  <so do I.  I have a younger sister... >
   But if you were an only child all of your young life and you were suddenly
   thrust into the same house with a sexy girl only a year younger than you,
   the word 'sister' is a meaningless label (again, IMHO).  

For Ranma you're spot on; but Ranko would have to accept deep down
that Ranma is simply not the brother she grew up with.

In fact, that brother is *** gone ***; and (as I think I mentioned
before) I'd expect her to morn that lost brother when it sinks in,
even if the new one is a 100% improvement.

She could cry on Ranma's shoulder :-)

(She can't explain why she's crying to anyone else, now, can she???)
