That wasn't the way it appeared. What you wrote had no relavence to the attack.

Yeah, I felt like it was dragging too. Did'nt really plan to put so much 
in, but I had to built it up somehow.

Build it up, fine. But you let it get out of hand. Didn't you ever stop and ask yourself, "Is this too much? Can I say that in fewer words? Can I drop this?" Doing so will help you write a better story in fewer words.

Anyway, things will get a littl more interesting from now on.
