I have those four collected books, however it ends right before a big
battle for the earth. Is this where the manga truely ends?

Ummm. no.  There is *quite* a bit more to it than that - Zen suspects that
all told it will be eight or nine collected volumes.  The ending is pretty
darned dark, for some, but that is all Zen will say!
