	I'm not a Japanese culture expert, but I don't think you're totally 
correct.  From what I know, Ranma is pronounced like 'lanma'.  I've some subs 
and Ranma's name is always pronounced like 'lanma' rather than 'ranma'.  I'm 
almost positive that it is the R sound the Japanese language lacks, not the L.  
I think that is why Ranma sounds like 'lanma'.  I'm pretty sure that the Nishio 
Etsuko (sp?) wasn't trying to sound like Chinese in 'Jajauma ni sasenide'.
