While it is Fuu... 
But, I think it's kinda true that there are words that do have R at the
beginig, and my Dictionatary and Hiragana books, both have R's...

But here's another tid-bit.  Those breif-case looking school bags that 
those school kids are always carrying are called "randoseru" <<writen in 
katakana>>.
