Hey kids!  Did you ever read a fanfic and come across a line that
had you rolling out of your chair with laughter?  Did you find a
paragraph that put a lump in your throat and brought a tear to 
your eye?  Did you read a bit that made you question the author's
already borderline sanity?

If so, then this is for you.  I would like to compose a fanfic
quote file, containing the funniest, most pithy, most touching,
and most wrenching lines from your favorite workds of fiction.

How's it work?  You find a line or paragraph or two that you like,
and either send it to me or the list.  After a while I'll post
the results.  It's just that simple.

A few rules:

1) Don't quote out of context.  One of my favorite quotes in the
world is "Ten years have passed since Ranma left".  By itself,
it does not begin to convey the gut-wrenching feeling you get.  So
therefore it shouldn't be in this file.  Make sure your quote 
stands by itself.

2) When possible, give author's real name instead of a nickname.
i.e. Caroline Seawright, not Kun-chan, Stefan Gagne, not 
Twoflower.  If this is difficult (RPM, step forward), then the
nickname is OK, but try to avoid ir.

3) There is no limit on length, but try to keep it down to a
reasonable amount.  If a quote's too long, I'll e-mail you and ask
you to trim it.


That's it.  I hope that you respond to this, and...well, if you
don't, then at least point at me and laugh. ;-)
