I guess it's gotta be me who apologizes.  I wasn't going for any kind of
false humility; I really was unsure.

 

   One thing that some people don't realize is just how nervous someone can be 
about posting their fledgling work, or even a well worked out full-fledged 
book... That nervousness tends to express itself in the form of a few 
sentences (or sometimes paragraphs) before the story explaining something like 
this... "If it sucks as much as I think it does I'm sorry for bothering you 
with it!"   Until someone gets very well acquainted with writing and is 
confident that they wont be trashed, that is likely to continue...

   As for the people thinking their work is all great, that is what they think 
in the planning stages, no matter what, the fanfic that they are working on 
will be the best in history, this feeling usually dies out, 5 *SECONDS* after 
uploading and is replaced by sheer terror that they might have been wrong...

  Just my 10$ worth ;)
