that, I think, translated poorly.  Some fanfic authors have carried this
to extremes, one calling a member of the Amazons,
"Anti-Bacterial-Soap."  :)   I somehow thought it inappropriate for the
kind of 'fic I was writing, so I gave the characters realistic Chinese
names.  Feel free to flame me for that.  :)

They may not be accurate (heck, I know zip-all about Chinese Language ;) 
), but the names do work ;)

Just on the subject, anyone written a character called 'Pert' from the 
Amazons?

Now my last, and saddest, warning.  This fanfic is the one I've worked
the hardest on.  It's my longest single fanfic, the most heavily
researched, and the most intricately plotted.  All that being said, I'm
unsure if it's any good.  In fact, it may be downright boring.  Please
read it without preconceptions, but don't hesitate to tell me that I've
wasted my time.  It will only confirm what I already suspect.  :)

Ok, just to confirm your suspicions, some parts were boring.

You have NOT wasted your time with this fic.  Overall, it presents quite 
a good storyline, good knowledge of customs and politics and very good 
style.

P.S.  Note to Zen:  You asked that I write a "happy" fic.  I'm not sure
this qualifies, so consider a "happy" fic to still be in your future.
