Someone asked:
It's recently come to my attention that new subscribers to the FFML
can't post right away. What I'd like to know is how long this 'waiting
period' is to be, and also how resubscribers can bypass this waiting
period.
Excuse me? This is the first I've heard of this... Did WW change the
rules of the ML and I missed it?
Yes. I said the spam has to stop, and I meant it.
Ok - this explains my situation - sorry for the other e-mail asking about
it, WWolf.
Why do you have to be sorry for e-mailing the list-owner about a problem you
were having with the list???
Anyway - If this is going to be a permanent thing, I think we should update
the FAQ. (Y/N)
Saf and I are working on the update for the FAQ as we speak. This new
policy will be added as per WW's pending specifications.
I STILL think it might have been nice for *someone* to let the current
subscribers know that the rules changed. IMO it's pretty bad that we have
to find out about it this way. (it's obvious only certain people were let
in on this policy change, while the rest of the list was left in the dark
about it) Just how long have these new rules been in place, anyway?
Was anybody going to ANNOUNCE the changes to the list? Or were we supposed
to find out after the fact when the FAQ update got posted. (oh, excuse me,
we *did* find out after the fact after the rules got changed)
You guys do know that most people don't read the FAQ of a list that they are
already subbed to unless there's some question to be resolved, don't you?
