Can you say OOC? I knew you could.

   This was billed as a sequel to the Dropping Anchor LomanFic, and seems
to have everything I disliked in the first with hardly any of the
redeeming qualities.
    To some extent, it reminded me of Joyce Meadows' fic, the
Nabiki-as-madam one. (What ever happened to Joyce, BTW?) It was a good
story, well written, but it wasn't a fanfic. It was a story with the names
of anime characters grafted on. This one is far more blatant about it.
   An example - When we see Kuno, he delivers a line of poetry, presumably
to establish him as IC. He then decends to rather low, profane banter.
   Kuno is an arrogant, selfcentered, pigheaded fool. But, he also is
steeped in tradition and propriety. He sees himself as the highest model
of courtesy and civilization; and would _never_ lower himself to common
swearing unless he was in a state of mortal rage and shock (see Rain Dance
for an good example).
   The story has merit as a piece of writing, but not as fanfiction.
Presenting it as a fanfic lowers the power of the story and makes the
premise hard to swallow. My advice is to change the names, and make in a
non-anime work.
