This is what Carmen
had to say about TE when we exchanged e-mail last October:

Since POW is listed as Chapter 1 (with 5 parts), I'm assuming that there
will be more coming down the line eventually. It will be interesting to see

Just started initial notes and planning for Chapter Two, which will be
entitled "Children of a Lesser God". It's set in 2042, eight years after
the end of Chapter One...

So, as of 9 months ago, a 2nd chapter *was* planned...

M'hmm; I wonder what happened? It would have been nice to see more.

[`We Just Want to Help You' being truncated]

If it is only about 3 pages long, and the story ends with a fade-out
discussion between IRene and Sylia, followed by 'Owari', followed by 'author
chat', you've got the whole thing. (it's also on this ML's remailer)

It ended with the discussion, but nothing more. I think the version I
pulled from RAAS must have been chopped there (probably a spurious CTRL-Z got
into the thing to which some system took a strong dislike). I'll get it
again.

... RAAS/RAAC is a little different in that it's really a
pain in the neck for moderators to have to insert re-worked story pieces into
a 'fic (unless the thing has its own directory and is posted in chapters (as
I'd prefer for DC)).

Zoner has said many times that you'd best have a *very* good reason for
uploading story changes. Who knows what the policy of the new moderator(s)
will be.

It's probably best IMO to discourage it for RAAC and the archive - as
I said it's a little unfair to expect moderators to patch things up and people
to try to keep track of changing chapters (the best way to see that people get
fed up and give up reading something IMO). Of course this shouldn't apply to
the FFML. :) I for one would soon be in one tremendous amount of trouble if
it did :-) -- I imagine DC will go through *many* revisions before it's ready
for the archive. As for posting it either to the FFML or for archiving, it's
soon going to get *far* too large for a single file so posting and archiving
it ch by ch seems best. Imagine E.G. BG-Zone 1-9 as one file! It probably
also makes it easier for people to deal with reading things a little at a time
if they can't mark/save their place. For me it doesn't matter (but then I'm
very patient and quite willing to persevere if I think something's worth
reading). Do people tend to prefer one huge 'fic file or the thing split into
chapter-type files?
