OK, I posted a question that was obscure enough that
no one knew the answer.  (How do rest homes and/or
asylums work in Japan?)  Fair enough.

Next problem:  I still want to write this fanfic.  The
main character needs to be in a rest home-type place.
I'm going to write it as generically as I can but - 
PLEASE don't tell me I got the Japanese details wrong!
That's why I asked in the first place!  And I got no
answer, so I'm just trudging forward.

So, onward to death and misery.  Ho hum.
