Or... here's an even wilder idea: Ranma gives some very ... revealing

hurting Akane's feelings.
What do you think?
This is the One I would chose... But I believe that he would have to
confront
Akane after the fact and let her know why he did it. He has to stop the lies
somewhere.
But this could also be bad. Because Ranma is changing the past to suit his
needs.
Yes, but its not just his needs, its to prevent Akane from getting hurt
as well.
True on that one but The Nanban Mirror is very powerful... I'm not too fond
of this idea. I mean whenever it would get too rough for Ranma he can go
and change the past to suit his needs... Like if he lost in a MAJOR fight
he can go back and prepare for the fight (since he knows what will happen)
and counter everything. Also it could save Akane's life. You see I'm just
looking at it in this story line. Not the other storylines just this one.
Many FF authors about this time tie up the loose ends by having Ranma be the
hero and save Akane. I'm not so sure that this can or will help the
situation. Basically Akane has given up on Ranma and it would be tough to
have Ranma sort this one out. He was given the chance to say that he loves
her but didn't take it.
"Ranma..." sighed Akane sadly, not even bothering to put up her icy barrier,
"That was your last chance. I know you must love me. You must, but you
wouldn't say it. You want it that way, that's fine with me. I'll be the
one that say it. I love you, Ranma."
Right here... It says it all... This section is the hardest on Akane
because she wrought up her courage again. And in the following section.
"What?" questioned Ranma in disbelief. That sure sounded like Akane
forgive him. Could it be possible?
Ranma still can't believe that she is saying this on her accord... "Could it
be possible?" Is his only response.
Without a warning, Akane grabbed Ranma fiercely and kissed him. Ranma
naturally tried to struggle but to no avail. After what seemed like an
eternity, Akane parted her lips. "What... what was that for?" Ranma
couldn't help but to question.
Ranma's reply to that kiss was "What... what was that for?" He didn't melt
into the kiss like in anyother FF's but struggled... Why...
In previous passages he was thinking that he Liked, no Loved her.. but
could't express himself... he just waited. Just like in the first
Episode... Looking at the clock, waiting, just so that he can bolster his
ego.
"Now I've no regrets," answered Akane, "I want to do that before I leave
you... forever."
This last phrase is one of the hardest that Akane had to say... she paused
before saying "forever." The first and only kiss from the one she loved...
She waited so long for Ranma to kiss her but... he didn't respond, just
questioned her about it... as if he didn't care.
"Ranma, Akane Tendo no longer exists. The kawaikunai tomboy that loved
you, envied you, hated you. The one foolish enough to believe you lies.
The one foolish enough to break her heart for someone like you. She,"
paused Akane, "She ceases to exist. Akane Tendo died this day, Ranma
Saotome. If all these other people couldn't take Akane away from you, then
I'll do it myself. You will never see Akane again, and I intend to keep it
that way. Good-bye... forever."
Again... Akane pulls out her wretched feelings and admits to Ranma with him
being there. In this paragraph Akane pauses twice. Everything that she
felt for Ranma, love, envy, hate... The times that when opponents tried to
take her away from him.. and failed... she is going to take herself away
from Ranma...
I'm sorry that this is going so long... but I did a lot of thinking at work
today... and this is gonna be really hard on the author to fix... I hope
that he doesn't take the last dialogue out. Even the part about the self
infliction.
It doesn't ruin the story... it expands it. goes where no other FF writer
have taken the Ranma story.
There is another that somewhat is similar,Ranma going to Akane's funeral in
his female self and suddenly disappearing and leaving a note that said that
his is safe and is off to join Akane... (not sure what story it is) But that
was really good... kinda sad but it has the same feel.. not thing that Ranma
can do, could save Akane.
She is running away from herself, and its up to Ranma to try and save her.
Good luck on this one... I hope that I cleared up a few things... Or even
better given you a few ideas... its still in the alpha stage so don't get
all depressed on it... Just take some time and it will settle out.
Actually that might just work... Having Ranma be there through thick and
thin... and just wait it out... no more bad remarks, just "LOVING
SUPPORT"... its what he can only do... His martial arts can't do
everything... Basically he has to start again... his old Akane is still
there... just hiding. Ranma just has to let it surface again.
