Actually, one of our illustrious forefathers of the United States of
America(can't remember who exactly...think it was some general) first
implemented the use of O.K. This was an abbreviation of the words "all
correct". Obviously he was not a good speller @@). This is a true story
though...learned it in history class.
As for everyday use, I think that any of those(Ok, okay, and O.K.) are
accepted forms these days.
