I did put a little blurb at the beginning of one of the earlier episodes
about there being no KS in the 'fic or in its immediate future. I guess I'll
put it in all of them from now on so as to avoid confusion...

     Specifically, alert the readers it takes place in the BGC universe,
but without the BGC characters.

Which leads me to ask this question: Are there many ( or any ) 'fics like
mine, set in the world created by the anime writers but not featuring the
central characters? I know that in Robotech, for instance, those sorts of
'fics are actually the most common type, courtesy of 'purism'.

     Not many I can think of, since the main characters are usually pivotal
to the universe (Ranmaverse w/o Ranma & Co just isn't Ranmaverse, for example),
but there are some series which the main characters aren't as pivotal (such
as Robotech, where there are many squadrons and worlds). BGC fits more closely
with the first group, since the story really is about the crusade of the KS,
specifically Sylia, to be a balance-point to Genom (see BGC #7).
