I've been kicking thise idea around for a while.
I consider my self a writer of Fantasy and Sci-fi mostly, which Ranma
isn't....now I though about this "Alternate Future" which features Ranma and Co.
in a very differant setting, but what bugs me is the characters Changes I'll
make...well, see for your self;

The setting: the year 2509. The Galaxy is Ruled by the Cruels and harsh
Empire of teh Black Dragon. It controls it's domain with it';s massive fleet
and amries, adn it's deady efficant Black Lotus Corps. The empire rose out
of the Ashes of teh great civil war which tore apart the galaxy, and
destoryed the once great Free Worlds League. There are small pockets of
reisistance, but most remain hidden, trying to gain support of planetary
governers and Officers withing the military. The Empire is now ruled by a
foolest emperor who is mearly the puppet of His Son, Tatewaki, and A
myserious figure known only as the Shogun. The Prince regent has begun to
persoanly see to the complet destruction of all rebel forces, and now from
his Command Ship, Kuno's Glory, he hunts them down one base after another....

the Characters:(Note: All charcters still have their curses, just that the
Cursed Springs are on antoehr planet)

Ranma: Adventure and one of the few remaining martial arts masters. He is
one of the lead feild operatives of the Rebels. His ship is the Tendo Dojo
II, a old frighter that had been converted for militarty purposes.

Akane: Ranma's beloved. She is not as active within the Rebelion as Ranma
is, but she remanins with him, for she is a marked woman.

Ryoga: An "Involantary Explorer" of some renown. Ryoga posses emense psi
energy, unfortunly, this causes him to forget where he's going....His only
true goal is to find his beloved, Akari, who dissapeared 2 years ago.

Ukyo: Ryoga unwilling (In most cases) partner (someone has to fly the ship.)
She is a weapons master, and pretty handy with engins. She just can't get
enough adventure, and also really wants to help Ryoga find Akari....

Nabiki: Nabiki is one the most important people in the Black Lotus Corps.
Her job is to root out rebels within the military, but for each one she
catches, 1000 go unchecked, for she is also, the most powerful mole for the
rebels.

Kuno: Kuno is the Prince Regent Imperial and the Lord Admerial of the fleet.
His name is spoken with fear. He vengful and vilolent, mercyless and evil.
He hates the rebels with all his passion and beleaves that every attack by
them is personal....

The Story:

Akane gets captuered by Kuno. Nabiki attempts to free akane, but is
unsuccesful, so she sends a messages to Ranma, saying teh she is in trouble.
Ranma gets abord the Ship, but while searching for Akane, he finds Akari. He
resuces Akari, but he cannot find Akane, for akane has already been taken to
to Black Lotus Corps base. Ranma Takes off to the Base, but he cannot get
in. He returne home, and is told to forget her. Ryoga arrives and is elated
to find Akari. Ryoga sas he'll repay his debt to Ranma by helping to get
Akane back, so Ranma Ukyo and Ryoga do the Star wars thing and break into
the base, and rescue Akane. When they return to their base they Find Kuno
waiting for them, and eh capture them. he then takes them to the Shoguns
palace....

And that's where I'll stop this, for this is where ti starts getting rather
importand and twisted...

Now, don't worry, this is bacicly a more serious Rnama, but will still some
of the Humor (there seem to be a lot of fountans in Kuno's ship....)
