Go with the series charactors. Chris Lambert made a great immortal, but 
that I've-got-wood-splinters-in-my-throat voice... ug
Besides that, we've never really seen how Conner would react to a 
FRIENDLY immortal, other than that one appearence in the series.

that and Connor does show up in the series too.  so you can have the 
best of both worlds if you want it.
