APPROPRIATE casting... especially the "scummy" part!

Samurai Partner of Lupin III: Steven Segal! <= Oh god... more bad

Yes, the nightmare of Hollywood taking on anime HAS begun!  Flee from, 
DO NOT RUN TO, these bastardized live-action adaptations of your 
favorite anime!  Remember what happened to Batman?  Don't get sucked in 
and see your favorite anime DESTROYED on the silver screen!
