	That *is* an intriguing idea, and it would make a terrific
story if it comes off right.  Good luck in developing it.

	(I once considered writing a story about what Laputa was like
at the height of its power, what its effect was on the civilizations
around it, and why it was eventually abandoned, but I never did
anything with it for precisely the reasons you give.)
