I was not defending Jack in this letter. I have no idea where people
got the idea that I was his personal little knight or whatever. I AM
SIMPLY SAYING THAT I THINK IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT PEOPLE START 
RIPPING ON EACH OTHER PUBICALLY ON THE FFML!!! I think it is stupid
and immature. If you think someone is being an idiot, why bring
yourself down to their level? You don't get revenge, you just
end up looking as petulant and as idiotic.

I must find myself in total agreement with Marisa on this score.  Getting
personal publicly is not necessary, and inflicts drivelling idiocy on
innocent bystanders.

I confess that I have, unfortunately, been guilty of the above crime once
myself, but I have since ceased.  I privately email someone I feel I have a
bone to pick with.

I never said it did. However, I did say that a fic is a fic, and some
people might like it, and some people might not, but that it should be
allowed to be posted to the list, and if you don't want to read it, delete it.

Right.  To each his own, as the saying goes.....
