Hmmm. Alright I fell I must speak ;] This 'bash the author' idea has
gone a little _too_ far...

Here's a thought, though...

What if someone adds a character that is NOT them and is pure fiction? Is 
that okay? Or is it really just the same as an author fics? Opinions?

Stray characters not in the origional cast are subject to the same
complaints; the character is really the author.

        While I am not a FanFic God (I have met a few...) I have written a
story with a central character that seems to violate every 'Don't _DO_
That!' rule this thread has spawned. While that FanFic is an X-man
FanFiction, I had aspirations (but no spellchecker ;]) to write a Ranma 1/2
FanFic... somewhat along the same idea. 
        My question is this.... If I do write this story, should I refrain
from posting it? Thanks all!

YOU FROM SHARING  YOUR WORK.  I WILL READ IT AND OTHERS 
WILL TOO.  I LIKE MANY OF THE THINGS THAT ARE BEING DISSED.  
DONT GIVE IT A THOUGH WRITE YOUR WAY AND IF YOU GET A 
SUGGESTION ON HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER GIVE IT THOUGHT IF IT 
WORKS USE IT IF NOT DONT.  PEOPLE WILL OR WONT READ YOUR 
STORY BUT AT LEAST GIVE THEM A CHANCE.  I PROMISE THAT ONE
READER AT LEAST WILL NOT FLAME OR DICOURAGE YOU IN ANY 
WAY.  I AM SICK OF THAT AND SEEING IT APPER BEFORE ME.  
WRITE BE HAPPY AND DONT GIVE UP.

AN IRATE AND DISGUSTED SKYWISE ASKS THE GROUP TO QUIT IT
NOW.  YOU ALMOST KEEPT A WRITER FROM USEING THIS LIST FOR
ITS PURPOSE.  SOME OF YOU ARE ACTING LIKE LITTLE CHILDREN 
WHO NEED TO TAKE A NAP.  THIS LIST IS FOR ENCOURAGING WRITERS
NOT DISCOURAGING THEM
