s'a matter of taste, really.  In my opinion, the Otaku char. in the Crys
Saga was just too blessed.  It was all too easy.  Bingo, he's got powers,
the chicks dig'em, hell, even Soun Tendo wanted Akane engaged to him
instead!  What a guy!  All that just killed the story for me.  I gave it a
try, I honestly did.  BUT my opinion is just that, my opinion.  There
_are_ lotsa other people that did get a good read out of it, and enjoyed
it all the way.  Read it yourself to get to the bottom of things.

Now, fanfics where the author inserts himself and gets mauled and slapped
around silly, that's another thing entirely....
