And as I'm sure White Wolf is aware, this list has a reputation (at
least on r.a.a.misc) of being too high noise (i.e. spam) to subscribe
to unless one has a lot of spare time on one's hands.

And with the virtual death of r.a.a.c, I'd say this is particularly bad.

I'd like to repeat my suggestion that the list split into two lists:

A social list for the "spam" (it won't be spam on this list, although
some dicipline will still be required).

And a Fanfic C&C list.  This list could possibly feed into the social
list (I've always felt some "spam" was a good idea, since the line
between spam and brainstorming can rather thin), but that will require
some sort of (perhaps case by case) blocking technology so that too
much spam from the social list doesn't spill over into the C&C list.

I'd *really* appreciate some serious consideration of this proposal.
I for one have had to cut down my C&C merely to barely keep up with
the stream of messages (I think of lot of you don't appreciate how
valuable time becomes as you get out into the Real World), and I
submit to you that the list in it's current form is simply not
fullfilling its charter.
