Go for it, It will be interesting seeing a much calmer/thinking Ranma deal
with Akane.

I could still see her getting mad, but Ranma mainting his cool.  Of course
sometime Akane would just get angryer and still give him a LEO launch

I agree, although I think it will be a tough one to write and keep funny.
9/10th of the situations Ranma gets into are due to his losing it.
