Greetings to all,
Part one of this story was sent to R.A.A.S. (now a silent R.A.A.C.) was
released way back in 1995 (I forget the date). After some encouraging
remarks from people (special thanks to Glenn Hough - BGC Crusade) I
started (Sep/Oct 95) work on part two.
Some of you may remember that I posted three (or was it four?) chapters
to ML way back in the mists of time; then real life grabbed me by the
heart and throat. At this point in time the plot line was at least
complete even though 80% wasn't typed up. I changed my working pattern
and decided to post it only when everything was typed up; one advantage
is that I didn't get prodded by "Her Furryousness" - hehehe.
I'm not a quick writer and what with the previously mentioned R/L issues
it's taken until now to finish typing it up.
It'll will be posted as a series of chapters rather than one big file
(I know some people have problems with large emails). My original concept
was that I would post a chapter at a time and as such each one would have
a 'cliff hanger' type ending (as per that classic serial "Buck Rogers");
That method of posting won't apply but some chapters retain that format.
Damn I'm waffling here, I suppose I ought to mark them up for posting ...
[SPAM ON]
Just as Tempest's hand hovers over the 'send' button Mink comes over
having being awaken by the tapping of the keys and beeps from typing
errors.
She studies the screen for a moment ...
Mink: "Hey you're on-line. Can I have a go ?"
Tempest: "I'm about to send my story to mailing list. Go and sit down."
Mink: "Oh come on, can I have a go ?"
Tempest: "No, please wait."
Mink opens the window, grabs Tempest and throws him into the pond below.
Mink: "Yay, that's got him out of the way."
There is a loud crash as the door is kicked open and Tempest storms in
dripping wet and spitting out bits of pond weed.
Tempest: "COME HERE YOU!!
Mink: "Uh oh, maybe I overdid that a bit."
Tempest reaches into a box, takes out a tiny mallet and taps Mink on her
nose with it.
Mink: "What was that supposed to do ?"
Tempest shows Mink a slip of paper.
'Magic Dragon mallet : Knocks out any Dragon.
Note that there is a 10 second delay factor.'
Mink: "Don't be silly that'll never wo ..." <thud>
Tempest drags the now unconcious Mink over to the other desk and ties her up.
Tempest: "Right, that's silenced 'trouble' for a moment or two.
Now what I was doing before being so rudely interrupted ?
Oh yes ..."
A sudden noise from behind him breaks Tempest's concentration. He turns
round to see Mink tapping away on the typewriter on the corner with her tail.
Being careful to avoid the reach of her tail he peers at the paper and reads
the message she's typed .
'Why can't I break this duct tape and when will you take it off ?'
Tempest: "It's reinforced and magically enhanced.
Hmm, it's not long until *bed* time.
I think I'll remove *some* of the tape then.
What do you think ?"
Mink's eyes briefly open wide in astonishment; they return to normal but then
glow with anger ? She taps away furiously on the typewriter again.
H H EEEEE N N TTTTT A IIIII ||
H H E NN N T A A I ||
HHHHH EEEE N N N T AAAAA I ||
H H E N NN T A A I
H H EEEEE N N T A A IIIII OO
Mink's last whack with her tail results in the typewriter's carriage zooming
across the desk and embedding itself in the wall; an assortment of springs
and levers fly out of the shattered main body. Clearly the typewriter is now
only fit for scrap. Tempest shudders for a moment and then lugs Mink out of
the window; into the pond below.
Tempest: <sighs> "I knew I shouldn't have offered to look after her.
They were right : Half-Human, Half-Dragon, *ALL* trouble."
A sudden flapping sound makes him turn round and Tempest is faced with Mink
flying in through the window brandishing her sword and steaming as the pond
water evaporates off her; of the duct tape there is no sign.
Mink: (annoyed) "Right that does it!"
Tempest: "B-B-But what happened to the tape ?"
Mink: "I'll come to that later.
Now you mentioned you were about to post your story.
Do it NOW !!"
Tempest thinks "Who needs 'Her Furryousness' - I seem to have my own
task-mistress here."
Mink: (Pointing her sword at Tempest's throat) "Well ..."
Tempest: <gulps> "Okay, okay. I'm doing it!"
(more typing ensues at sword point).
[SPAM OFF]
I had a good laugh at some of MS-Word's suggestions I hope I've found all
the spelling and grammar errors, but I'm not 100% confident of this.
Comments and Criticism welcome.
There should be 19 chapters in total; numbered 00 to 18.
00 - is imediately below; the rest follow in separate articles.

you'll have to live with it.
It has been pointed out that Mackie's DOB does not match that given in
Grand-Mal, as this quotes an age difference of 7 years between Mackie
and Sylia. Well, I figured that since Mackie drives the KS truck and
the Silky Doll van he would be too young at 15.
