Sailor Moon Future
                  Episode 5: Tt Wasn't Like This Last Time!

    Morning.  A hotel room, with an alarm clock.  Pink Lady wakes up and goes
back to sleep; Kameko yawns and takes a shower.  Soon, she's finished, and
dresses, then eats some cereal.  She pauses in the middle and grabs Pink Lady's
blanket (which is a cute pink with rabbits on it).
    "Hey, what's that for-- oh...  I'm going to be late!"  She rushes around,
grabbing clothes and food at the same time, the toast dangling from her mouth,
and speeding into the bathroom.
    Kameko shouts at the closed restroom door "Oneechan, if you get up earlier,
you can go _slower_."

                               OPENING CREDITS

    It is the first day of school for both Kameko and Pink Lady.  Pink Lady
and Kameko walk in, and pass Usagi in the hall.  Pink Lady keeps going.  "Mata
ne!", and Kameko stops.  "So...  Usagi...  what's school like?  Me and my sister
are enrolled here for real now.  I've heard about Ms. Haruna..."
    Usagi explains that Ms. Haruna's not that bad a person, though sometimes
she does give tough assignments or get a little tough with students who don't
do well.
    "Didn't she take your manga?", asks Kameko.
    "True, that was my fault!"
    "Really?"
    "Yeah, it's my fault I didn't hide it well enough!"
    Kameko thinks "Mom's just like a normal person in this time period!  I
wonder what made her change to so...  Mom-like?"
    Ms. Haruna enters, greets the class.  "We have a new student today, class!
Kameko is from a distant place and visiting..."  She asks Kameko if she
studied math at her old school, and Kameko says yes.  We soon find out why,
because after the introduction comes a pop quiz for math.  Kameko does have
to take it, and the entire class except Umino looks pretty unhappy.

    At lunchtime, Naru-chan and Usagi both ask Kameko how she did.  Kameko only
looks embarassed.  Umino tells her not to worry because it was easy.  Usagi
whispers "Don't listen to him.  It was hard!  You know, I bet Sailor V
doesn't have to take hard tests...."  She looks a little embarassed herself
when saying this.
    Naru-chan adds "Or Sailor Moon!  I heard about her on the news.  Bet _she_
never has to worry about taking tests."  Naturally, Usagi looks even worse.
Finally Kameko decides that at this point Usagi looks so pathetic that she
needs some defending.  "Maybe she does.  Maybe she's a normal girl like every-
one else.  I'm sure all the Sailor Senshi eat cake and ice cream, have prob-
lems with tests, and go looking for boyfriends just like everyone else!"
    Naru-chan replies "All the what?"

    In a dark place, Queen Beryl is looking into her crystal ball, which shows
a ghostly red-robed female figure.  Suddenly, she stares directly back at
Queen Beryl, and the ball begins to glow.  Queen Beryl screams for help, and
all four generals come to her aid, but when they get within two yards, they
slow and stop, in mid-stride.  Each one vanishes in turn, and then Queen Beryl
begins to fade away.  With a twist of her arm, she smashes the ball, which
falls in an arc right out of the holder and smashes on the ground.  The light
stops.

    Usagi takes Kameko aside and asks "Kameko-chan, you gave me that note
yesterday and it sounded like something important.  But I don't understand it!
Any of it!  What does it mean?"  Naru listens in; Usagi drags Kameko around
corners with surprising rapidity until they are once again alone.  "A secret
message for Sailor Moon!  Now what does it all mean?"  Kameko does her best to
explain, which doesn't help Usagi all that much.
    By chance, Usagi and Kameko are near the teacher's lounge.  Ms. Haruna is
eating her lunch inside, with Usagi's manga and letter on a nearby shelf.  A
woman in red appears inside the room from nowhere.  "How did you get in here?"
She ignores the question and points to the manga, asking where the girl is who
she stole that from.  "I didn't steal it, she was reading it in class, and I'm
going to call the police if you don't get out of here!"

    Usagi and Kameko, outside, look to each other.  Kameko says "I have to
transform!" and presses a button on her wrist device to call her sister.  Usagi
replies "What about me?"
    Flashback: Usagi as Neo-Queen Selenity telling Kameko that Kameko's young,
but almost as powerful as herself. Then more flashbacks, to Usagi getting the
Cosmic Power powerup, and the Crisis Make Up powerup from the grail, and
_without_ the grail, and getting another powerup from the Pegasus, and even
later to becoming Eternal Sailor Moon.  Then more powerups we only see vaguely.
    "Usagi...  if this is the enemy from yesterday, they have to be fought by
us.  They're too strong for Sailor Moon!  And besides, they're looking for
you, so you want to stay out of sight."  Usagi says "Hai." and goes off.
    Kameko transforms.  "Earth Celestial Power, Make Up!"  
    Pink Lady, as Sailor Moon (future), rushes in, a piece of food hanging
from her mouth--some things never change--and the two Senshi burst through the
door into the teacher's lounge.
    Sailor Earth spots the red figure and begins a speech.  "Even a teacher who
gives pop quizzes doesn't deserve to be menaced by ghosts!  If you don't leave,
then in the name of the Earth...."  Sailor Moon (future) finishes.  "... and the
moon, we will punish you!"
    Usagi, as Sailor Moon, arrives next.  Kameko tells her sister "Oh great,
she's here.  I told her not to come!"  Pink Lady asks "If someone told you
that, would you?"
    The red figure looks at Usagi.  "Pleased to meet you, Sailor Moon.  My name
is Ruby Starr.  You and your friends and especially the Senshi of the future
here are very much in my way, and I don't want to do this...  but I must."
    Sailor Moon (present): "I am always in the way of evil beings who seek to
conquer everything!"
    Ruby Starr: "Conquer everything?  You have no idea, do you.  No, I don't
want to conquer everything.  You're just in my way.  It's either you or me."
She waves her hands around the room.  "Now...  let's get this over with.  Come,
destroy the Senshi, for me now.  It's your only task; then you'll be free."
They appear one by one, and she calls out their names.  "Jadeite...  Nephrite...
Zoisite...  Kunzite."  Then she disappears.

                               COMMERCIAL BREAK

    Tuxedo Mask is shown from the back, running down the street.  A person,
hidden, stalks him from the shadows.  Eventually Tuxedo Mask runs across the
street just ahead of a car, which swerves to avoid his stalker, as well as
splashing quite a bit of mud that person's way.  The driver yells at what can
now be seen as a long-haired woman, but by now she's already a diminishing
figure down the street.
    Finally Tuxedo Mask arrives at the school, and starts looking in the
windows.  After the third window, his expression changes and he snaps his
fingers, instantly vanishing to reappear behind it.  The woman chasing him 
tries to imitate his gesture, but stays in one place; she then grabs at the
window, covered by mosquito netting.  She finds herself unable to tear the
netting off, and resorts to pounding it with a rock.

    Ruby Starr calls out the names of the four generals, who have just appeared.
"Jadeite...  Nephrite...  Zoisite...  Kunzite."  Just before she disappears,
Tuxedo Mask appears, complete with first-season music.  "A gathering of gen-
erals in one place is only appropriate when fighting to preserve the country.
Not to spy on students who pass messages in school!"  He throws a rose at
Jadeite, who blocks it with a magical shield.  They fight for about a minute,
more or less evenly matched, while a low pounding sound can be heard in the
background, until the Zoisite and Kunzite come at Tuxedo Mask from two other
directions and easily disarm him of his staff.  Jadeite grabs him by the neck.
    Meanwhile, Nephrite is fighting Sailor Moon (present), with energy blasts
and the occasional punch.  Sailor Moon gets off one "Moon Tiara...  Action!"
and her tiara hits Nephrite in the chest.  While moving around the room,
Sailor Moon glimpses the manga that Ms. Haruna took, and remembers the mes-
sage.  "Please, Nephrite!  You don't have to do this...  there is some good in
everyone!" Nephrite pauses and Sailor Moon tries to decide what to do.
    Sailor Earth thinks that this is it.  She or her sister will have to at-
tack.  But she's bound to hit one of the Senshi in such close quarters.  And
if she attacks, the enemies may also strangle Tuxedo Mask....
    Ms. Haruna is slowly sneaking out the door.

    One last pound on the window and it opens, a tattered mosquito netting
falling off.  "Sailor V Kick!"  The villains turn around, surprised by the
sudden appearance of this figure whose face is half-covered in mud, and
Jadeite's grip loosens.  Sailor Moon (future) shouts "Pink Moon Heart Arrest!"
and sends a beam of pink hearts directly at Jadeite.  He gets thrown into a
bookcase.  Tuxedo Mask says "Thanks, uh..."  She replies "Who I am is a long
story, but you can call me Sailor Moon."

    Usagi thinks "I can't believe it!  Sailor V!  Right here, in person." and
hearts appear in her eyes.  She shouts "Oh, hello, Sailor V!  Can I have your
autograph?"  Nephrite blasts near her and she adds "Later, that is...  help
us!"  Sailor V and Sailor Moon (present) together drive back Nephrite for just
a moment, and now that all the villains are in one spot, Sailor Earth exclaims
"Bio...  Sphere!"  The bluish-green sphere surrounds all four at once and
collapses in on them.  Before it can hurt them, though, they all disappear.

    Everyone (except for Tuxedo Mask, who is gone) smiles and giggles a bit,
when Sailor V realizes "I'm gonna be late!  Lunch is over and this is running
into my biology class!"  Sailor Earth suggests that they meet somewhere after
school, with the cats (who of course are not in school) to talk things over.
Sailor Moon (present) agrees.  "Sure, how about the Crown arcade, 4 PM?"

    Ms. Haruna is in class, and not in a good mood.  "Class, there's some
trouble over in the teacher's lounge and I've called the police...  stay away
from it!"  Usagi and Kameko arrive, and Usagi tells Ms. Haruna that it's okay
because the Sailor Senshi drove all the bad guys away.  The teacher smiles.
"Oh, good."  Then she gives Usagi and Kameko an extra math assignment as
punishment for being outside of the classroom past the end of lunch.

    Pink Lady gets to the arcade first.  Then Usagi, with Luna, and Kameko, and 
finally a blonde girl with a white cat.  "Hi!  I'm Aino Minako!  And this is
Artemis.  But you know me under another name...."  Usagi is very happy to meet
her.  "Yeah, you're Sailor bbmmph", she announces, as Luna clamps a paw over
her mouth just in time to keep her from revealing Sailor V's secret identity
to the public.

    Kameko: "You start, oneechan."
    Pink Lady: "Okay...  we're time travellers from the future.  I know it may
be hard to believe..."  At this point, Usagi pulls up Minako-chan, who has
just fallen off her chair.  "We think this Ruby Starr person is trying to
change the past.  She started with little things, but it's gotten worse and
worse!"
    Kameko: "Oneechan, do we want to tell them everything that they haven't
found out yet?"
    Usagi and Minako, in unison: "Tell us!"
    Pink Lady: "Well, it may not be the best of ideas, but things are so wrong
that it couldn't hurt much..."
    Kameko: "All right!  Here goes.  You, Usagi, are the princess.  It's your
destiny to become a queen someday.  Have beautiful and cool children....  and
Tuxedo Mask is the prince of the Earth.  You're very important people in the
future, and if anything were to happen to you, everyone would be in trouble."
    Usagi: "Really?  Neat!"
    Luna: "She certainly doesn't act like a princess.  Are you _absolutely_
sure?"
    Pink Lady: "She does have to learn to act like one, but it's really not
so hard.  Hey, we should know."
    Usagi: "But I don't know how to be a princess!  And does this mean I have
to lead everyone?"
    Kameko: "No, you're not going to do much.  It's _our_ job to lead _you_
now, for once.  First, we need to find the other two Senshi."
    Usagi: "Hey, wait a minute, you could at least give me a chance.  If I'm
really the princess, I want to be a heroic princess!  Not a need to be
rescued while someone else does all the work princess!"
    Luna (thought):  First I heard of Usagi saying 'work' in a long time.

    Motoki shows everyone the new four player Sailor V game.  The four
Senshi all zip over to play.  Soon the sounds of "Sailor V chop!" and "Sailor
V kick!" can be heard.  Luna asks when the plan is going to start.  Everyone
yells "Tomorrow!"

Coming attractions:

Kameko: "We've named our enemy and are starting to gather the five Senshi.
But can history be fixed?  And can the bad guys be made good this time?"
Pink Lady: "And we can't count out Queen Beryl yet."
