You're working under a misconception.

It's not syntactically wrong, nor does it make a difference who says it.
It's *inherently* wrong because *Akane* *is* *cute*.

The three rules of the universe are:

1. Kun-chan is always right
2. You can't accelerate beyond lightspeed.
3. Akane wa totemo kawaii

  NO SHE ISN'T!!  Bleah.  Akane is NOT CUTE.  I'm gonna go out on a limb
here... and even try to type this right.  Invariably, the fact I don't know
much japanese (at all!) will likely make me wrong... but the meaning will
be heartfelt and people will know what I'm trying to say..
