As the Subject states, this is a question. Enough said. Really, that's
all. Why do I this to myself? I know there are plenty of incompleted fics
floating around, so why not list them here? That way, people (much like
myself :) will know what's out there. And does anyone have any idea why
Ranma is so popular among hack writers? I have a theory, but in order not
to be presumtious, I will wait for anyone else's first.
Well, I've been trying to stay away from Ranma for the most part.
Admittedly, one character has a bit of a cameo in the first chapter of
a story I'm working on, and I did write a little story about Akane
coming back from america on an airplane, but no major Ranma fanfics
in mind.
My current projects, as far as fanfic goes are:
My Neighbor Totoro - The UnHentai Fanfic
and
The Unnamed Anime Club (Working Title)
The reason behind the My Neighbor Totoro fic: When I first got into
FanFic, I noticed that there was a Totoro fic, so I downloaded it, and
much to my horror, it was a lemon. Now, I don't have any major objections
to lemons, although they aren't my personal cup of tea. On the other hand,
Totoro just does not seem to me to be lemon material, and I had a couple
ideas about where to go from there. Namely, it's set about 8 years after
the original, and deals with Mei and Seiji, a boy who is a classmate of
Mei's. I'm trying to focus fairly on both of them. Unfortunately, I
had a HD crash a while back, and lost most of the document. Much as I'd
like to go back and rewrite it, I just can't find the spirit to.
The Unnamed Anime Club is something along the lines of Zoner, Gryphon,
and other's series Undocumented Features, except that instead of having
a bunch of ravening fanboys based off of real people, I'm making all
mine up. Yup, I'm not ANYWHERE in this story. Ok, maybe there are
aspects of me, and of some other people I know, but I've been very
careful to keep myself out of it. In addition, the entire plot takes
place on earth, none of the fanboys get obscenely powerful, and they
only have to deal with a nameless horror trying to take over the world
by destroying what turns out to be the last free-thinking pocket in
the world. BTW, if anyone is interested in co-writing it with me,
e-mail please!
Hopefully, I'll actually finish one one of these days...
Fnord.
