Ross, just a few comments:
Part one of this fanfic got me so interested in your work, I pulled
Descents and Inversions of the remailer (in fact, I had to learn how to
use the remailer, just so I could get your story).
Your characterizations are great! I love the way you did Nabiki, maybe
because it's so close to my vision of Nabiki: a heart behind the
business-like veneer. Glad you think she and Kuno make a good pair,
too. Puts us in the minority, I think.
Your conversations are wonderful, too. There were some truly brilliant
moments in D&I, and I can see some of them in Symmetric Polynomials,
too. Tachi has a wonderful understanding of human nature (which means,
of course, you do, too).
So is there a bad part? I'm not too sure about the plot, although it's
too soon to tell; we don't have a good idea what's happening: what is
the *purpose* of all this? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, of
course. I remember reading Coma; I nearly threw it away, the first 100
pages were so boring. When I got to the last two-thirds of the story, I
couldn't put it down. I'm hoping for similar things from you. :)
Keep it up; it's nice to see Plum.
