Actually, this is true.  The first time I saw Akira, I was totally
wasted.  I ran out of hard liquor so I got out a bottle of sake, made it
through a couple glasses before I felt like puking (it tastes soooo
disgusting) so I watered it down with my friend's vodka (he fell asleep
some hours earlier), some ginger ale, and a splash of clamato juice. 
DON'T try that.  Anyway, I was convinced that Akira was the most
profound movie I had ever seen.  The ending seemed perfectly clear.  I
kept yelling "TETSUO!!" all night.  ^_^

It also seemed totally different the next time I watched it. (sober) 
But it still made sense.

Akira is one wicked show!
