Ummmm,
I like that episode (as well as the other ones, actually)
Well, it's a cliffhanger, so I'll suppose you still can save
Akane's hide, somehow. This said, I quite agree with Shampoo's
actions, which seem a consistent extrapolation of what I read
in the Manga. Indeed, I think she would attempt to kill Akane,
and should do mincemeat out of her.
But there's a catch.
Shampoo maybe a barbarian, she may be stupid, she may even not
love Ranma but only seek him as a prize. Or be so deluded that
she actually *believes* Ranma would go to her once she kills
Akane (most likely out of fear).
But o-baba? c'mon... we're speaking at least one hundred years
worth of experience here. Somebody who knows quite a lot on
the human nature. Believing that? and pushing Shampoo to act
upon it? Her heir? I give her credit to figure out who will
bend or break, and your version of Ranma will not.
Besides, there's the small part of the authorities (which she
may have overlooked/neglected) or the possibility of vendetta
(same here).
She is consistently presented as both crafty, manipulative,
and wise. No way she would push Shampoo in that course.
Naaaaaah. Sorry, but it really doesn't compute.
Unless... unless Cologne has ulterior motives and plans for
Ranma. Or for Shampoo.
I won' expand that since you hung us on a cliff, but if such
is the case, maybe a little hint would be good.
Anyway, good work, but I don't know how you could continue
the psychological development of your characters with Akane
killed by Shampoo.
It was a joke, was it not?
Anyways, keep the cool stuff flowing our way.
A+
