Personally, my favorites are:
Romances
Comedies
"Serious" stories (see my current series, Thy Inward Love, as an
example)
Dark stories (Don't know why, maybe I'm a bad person)
Also, I much prefer stories with paragraphs to those that look like
radio scripts (an exception is DnR, which is well told even in that
style.)
My dislikes are:
Crossovers
Lemons (with very few exceptions)
Stories that have the author in them (Usually solving everyone's
problems. See "The fanfic for YOU!" by Sebastian Weinberg, a wonderful
parody of this kind of story.)
Serials that never get finished
These are, of course, my *personal* tastes; I'm not trying to suggest
what people should or should not write. And, as you can see by my
comments on DnR, I'll read a well-written story, even if it falls into
my "dislikes" category.
Oh, someone write a good DBZ story.. not some
stupid ones I've been reading.
Here's another one of my personal views: no such thing as a good DBZ
sotry. :)
I have never much saw the appeal of DB in its various incarnations.
Mostly endless fighting with little justification. Where's the story in
that?
