	No.  Ranma got this so that Akane could put it on Happosai.  That way he 
will get Happosai angry enough and when Happosai is angry he loses his

I only saw the anime,  but Ranma definitely got the "girl be gone" 
powder from Shampoo.  (He didn't tell Akane why, but obviously
Shampoo gave it to him to keep other gals away).  Anyways I
assume it works when in proximity to body heat (i.e. on Happy's
back).  The fumes or pheromones are so strong, all females will
do anything to stay away from it.
