It was a powder girl repellent, and Akane sewed a patch containing it ont he back of his shirt.
Don't remember whose idea was it, I think Ranma...

Also, can anyone explain the chapters about Ranma's hair growing long and 
the dragon hair thing? I have the japanese graphic novels for a few days 
and I'm looking them over.
