Misa, just to let you know, that's pretty much what I felt when I read
the kissing scene in L & L. I was composing "Thy Inward Love" in my
head, and had wanted to have very much the same scene. I almost cut it
out of my fanfic because it was so similar to yours, but I couldn't go
against what my writer's heart was demanding. It was so crucial to the
story I wanted to tell. I decided to accept it by saying something to
myself like "Great minds think alike" and moving on with the scene as
originally conceived.
So all I can say is, don't change your mind. Write what you feel like
writing, irrespective of similarity with other 'fics, or your 'fic will
suffer. And I'm so enjoying what you've come up with so far!
