On further thought, maybe a way to get MegaZone to update the
newsgroup on a more regular basis would be to challenge his position
or capability. Maybe start a group like alt.anime.creative.fast
and update it once a day. This action in itself will probabally
piss him off to the point where we'll either see r.a.a.c updated
daily or so, or he'll just stop altogether. I don't accually have
any real plans set up for doing this since it is just a thought.

The real solution is for him to build a team to cover the duties, so
that when he can't moderate there's someone to step in.

For some reason a lot of fans seem to be real proprietary about their
creations, prefereing them to die or become obselete and essentially
useless when they run out of time (witness the anime CD list, which
hasn't been updated in years, and who's author seems to be ignoring
offers to help). BTW, this tendency isn't limited to fans, I see a
lot of it in the field of computer programming.
