I have reached my 3rd installment of Lost Memories! I really
am having fun writing this fanfic, and that is what it is all
about, am i right? I hope your all enjoying it!

Lost Memories
Episode 3 - Being nice never hurt.
Tofu: So Kain, how did you do this to your arm?
Kain: It is a long story...
[Kain and Ranma are sitting in Dr. Tofu's clinic, Tofu is tending to
Kain's broken arm.]
Tofu: Oh.. So tell me Kain. Were are you from?
Kain: I am from... Well... Umm...
[Ranma suddenly jumps in on the conversation.]
Ranma: China. I knew him from a long time ago.
[Tofu raises an eyebrow.]
Tofu: Oh really? You sure don't look Chinese.
[Kain look's over to Ranma with a puzzled face.]
Kain: China?
[Suddenly Kain grab's his head.]
Kain: AHH!!
Ranma: What is the matter?
Tofu: Are you alright?
[Kain tumbles onto the ground, blood run's from his nose.
He then passes out.]
Tofu: You mind telling me what is going on here Ranma?
[Tofu place's Kain on the table as Ranma starts to tell him of
all the past events.]
Tofu: Zelsai? I thought it was only a myth. If this person really is
the demon Zelsai then Kain may have no hope...
[Kain open's his eye's and sits up slowly.]
Kain: What do you mean no hope?
Tofu: Your awake. How does your head feel?
[Kain looks down to the ground below.]
Kain: I asked you a question.
[Tofu sigh's deeply and place's his hand on Kain's shoulder.]
Tofu: Look, if what Zelsai said is true about you being
from another dimension under her power, then according to the
legend you are to be her slave. Without you she is nothing.
Ranma: So why did she want my soul?
Tofu: Kain take's in her evil, he is more powerful than her.
Kain: So she needs soul's to become once again stronger than me?
Ranma: Is Kain evil then?
Tofu: Not yet. Slowly the evil will consume him, then without Zelsai
to guide him, he will perish...
Kain: Then we have to find Zelsai and....
[Tofu interrupts Kain before he can finish.]
Tofu: No. She travel's dimension's looking for more slaves, more
power.
Ranma: So she is no longer in this dimension?
Tofu: Not if she was defeated. She most likely wont come back, ever.
[Kain knocks away Tofu's hand.]
Kain: That is a bunch of bull! I am not buying this dimension crap!
Tofu: Then you tell me, were are you from?
[Kain's eye's tear up and he falls to his knee's.]
Kain: So what do I do then?
Ranma: What if I train him in the martial arts!
Kain: What? How will that help?
Tofu: It will keep your soul pure.
Kain: My soul pure?
Ranma: Yes!
[Kain stands up and looks to Ranma]
Kain: That is stupid.
Tofu: What other chance do you have?
[Kain looks down to the floor]
Kain: Fine...

[Akane sits in the tendo dojo watching Ranma trying to teach Kain.]
Kain: I cant do it!
Ranma: It is all in the mind, you must concentrate.
Kain: Fine, I will try again.
[Kain stands over some small pillars with two slabs of wood on top of
them, his Right hand is black and blue. Kain raise's his hand in the
air and look's at the board's.]
Ranma: Remember to punch what is behind the boards.
Kain: AIEEYA!!
[Kain slams his fist into the boards smashing though.]
Kain: I did it!
Ranma: Good, next step is bricks.
Kain: Bricks?!?!
Akane: It is just as easy as the board's.
Ranma: Yea, for a tomboy like her it is a piece of cake.
[Akane stands up and calmly picks up a near by table.]
Akane: What was that Ranma?
[Kain jumps in between the two.]
Kain: Not now please!
Akane: Huh?
Kain: It is just so annoying.
[Ranma put's his hand's behind his head and looks off into the
distance.]
Ranma: Tell, me about it. I have to go through this everyday.
[Akane throws the table down and points a finger at Ranma.]
Akane: You are the one who always's starts it! Maybe if you weren't
such a jerk!
Ranma: Oh yea? Well maybe if you were more of a GIRL!
Akane: Oh no one is more of a girl than you Ranma.
[Ranma staggers back.]
Ranma: What did you say!?!
Kain: Ouch...
[Akane grabs Kain by the shirt.]
Akane: Stay out of this!!
Kain: Sorry, sorry!
Ranma: Oh so now are you going to beat him up, or just feed him your
cooking?
[Akane throws Kain out of the way and charges Ranma.]
Akane: That does it!
[Kain quickly seizes the advantage to get the HELL out of there.
As he runs out of the dojo harsh thud's and Ranma's screaming can be
heard.]
Kain: When is he gunna learn to keep his mouth shut?
[Genma walks over to Kain from the house.]
Genma: I keep asking myself the same question.
[Kain notices Genma]
Kain: Hi there Genma.
Genma: Hello boy.
Kain: Have they always done this?
Genma: Well, yes.
Kain: God, I wouldn't think that Brother's and sister's would fight so
much.
[Genma laughs]
Kain: What?
Genma: They aren't brother and sister.
Kain: They aren't?
Genma: What did you think that they had two dad's?
Kain: Well I wasn't really sure.
[Genma goes on to tell Kain all about Ranma's engagement to Akane and
the whole bit.]
Kain: That sucks. I would die if I had to marry someone I never even
met before.
[Akane come's marching out of the dojo looking alittle happier than
before.]
Genma: Well I had better go talk to him.
Kain: Ok, see ya later.

[Ranma lay's on the floor of the dojo looking rather dead while Genma
sit's next to him angrily.]
Genma: Wake up boy!
[Genma dumps a bucket of water on Ranma who in turn jumps up
startled.]
Ranma-chan: AHHH! Cold!!
[Genma then takes out a kettle (from nowhere of course.) and pours it
onto Ranma-chan changing him back into a male.]
Genma: Ranma, can i ask you a question?
[Ranma narrows his eye's at Genma]
Ranma in a gruff voice: What?
Genma: When will you learn to keep your mouth shut?!
[Ranma jumps up and points a finger at his dad.]
Ranma: What?!? Look at you! It is all your fault we cant even go home!
Genma: That is beside's the point!
Ranma: You are so lame!
Genma with a smile: At least I don't let a girl beat me up daily.
[Ranma looks shocked]
Ranma: You call *THAT* a girl?!?
Genma: Girl or not, you have to marry her, so if you don't learn to
keep your big mouth shut, you will live the rest of your life in pain.
[Genma gets up and leaves the dojo leaving Ranma to think.]
Ranma to himself: Maybe he is right...

[Akane sits in her room playing with her hair in the mirror. There is
a knock at the door.]
Akane: Come in.
[The door opens to reveal Ranma holding a small rose]
Ranma: Akane, I came to say that I am sorry.
[Akane looks at the rose silently. A small tear forms.]
Akane: Thank you Ranma...
[Akane takes the offered rose and stands up to hug Ranma. Ranma
of course resists.]
Ranma: Akane, I have been thinking...
Akane: Yes?
[Kain walks by the room whistling a small toon when he notices
through the open door Ranma talking to Akane. So he has to spy.]
Ranma: Akane, would you....
[He takes a deep breath and stares into Akane's eye's]
Ranma: Would you like to go out somewhere to eat or something tonight?
Akane: I would love to!
Ranma: This is just a sorry dinner ok? Don't get any strange idea's.
[Akane gets a small smile]
Akane: Ok Ranma, Thank you.
[Kain hides behind a corner avoiding Ranma as he leaves the room.]
Kain to himself: Way to go Ranma.

[Ranma stands in front of a mirror in a suit combing back his hair.]
Ranma: Be nice... Be nice... I can do this... Be nice...
Voice: Knock, knock.
[Ranma turns around to see Akane dressed in a beautiful pink dress]
Ranma: You look umm... Nice.
Akane: Thank you.
[She smiles]
Akane: you ready?
Ranma: Almost..
Akane: Ok, hurry.
[Akane leaves dodging Kain on the way out.]
Kain: So you are gunna take her out on a date?
Ranma: Yes...
Kain: Good luck.
Ranma: Hey Kain, have you ever been on a date?
Kain: Not that I can remember. And I cant remember much...
Ranma: Oh.
[Kain notice's Ranma's pale color.]
Kain: You are nervous aren't you?
Ranma: Me? No way!
Kain: You really do like Akane don't you?
Ranma: well.. umm...
[Akane is heard yelling]
Akane: Are you coming?!
Ranma yelling back: Yea! Well here I go, operation "Be Nice".
[Kain laughs]
Kain: Have fun.
