ATTENTION ALL BOUNTY HUNTERS AND UNEMPLOYED
.SIG WARRIORS! THE 'MISTRESS NEEDS YOUR HELP!
A certain MLer by the name of Panda has reneged on an important
promise. He's holding some important documents that I need very badly.
Bring the Panda to me, and I will see you handsomely rewarded.
Signed,
The Taskmistress
Hm... Panda-kun's in trouble again, big trouble this time. I wonder if I
should... But, business is business as Nabiki would say. I'll give him a
sporting chance though. He is a friend after all.
*Saf sends her white rabbit messenger off to warn Panda that The Blue
Tigress has taken up his trail.*
There. That should take care of it. Time to go bounty hunting! ^_^
Panda arrived at the bus station, his cramped toes killing him after only
a fifteen-minute walk. "Damn! I thought this was like riding a friggin bike!"
Panda looked around at the people who were now gawking at him. Remembering
he was still disguised as a woman, Panda hurried away, the high heels
clicking on the smooth stone floor of the main bus terminal.
Thirty seconds later he found himself in a ladies room stall, fidgeting with
the invisible keypad strapped to his forearm. Finally, a bright flash of
blue light filled the busy restroom, momentarily blinding the other
occupants. As
their vision cleared, the dazed women spotted a man in a dark overcoat and
hat exiting the room swiftly. Leaving behind a chorus of angry yelling, Panda
made his way to the ticket counter to pay for a one-way bus trip to...
Hmmm, where was he going to go? He still had to download the fanfics to
the taskmistress, so he'd need a computer. And just for comfort's sake it
would have to be someplace warm.
After finally making up his mind, Panda forked over the money for his ticket
and made a beeline for the passenger embarking area. As he was about to step
onto the bus, a tiny white rabbit on a tricycle pedaled furiously up to him,
inducing a smile from the disguised fur-bearing traveler. "Hello! I haven't
seen you in quite some time! And what message have you got from my favorite
FAQ Co-Maintainer and neighborhood bounty hunter eh?"
The rabbit was taken aback, not used to being conversed with in such a
friendly fashion. He stopped pedaling and relaxed, smiling brightly at Panda.
"Well... the Blue Tigress sent me to tell you that she is hunting you down!
Cya!"
Panda stood motionless, stunned by the rabbit's news as he watched him
pedal away like mad through the crowded depot. "Oh my," he finally emitted.
"This is not good. The Taskmistress must be really upset with me. I think I'd
better stick around to sort this out before things get really out of hand."
Panda turned and ran for the bus terminal's exit doors, handing his ticket to
a woman standing in line at the ticket booth. Upon entering the street, he
looked left, then right, and spotted a cab. He raised his hand and the cab
shot forward, coming to quick halt before him. The cabbie was about to get
out of the vehicle to help the disguised panda with his luggage, but his
fare had already whipped open the door, leapt inside and slammed the door
behind him. "Drive."
"Where to mac?"
Panda stared at the cabbie, disbelieving his ears. With a smile, and shaking
his head, Panda barked the destination at the cab driver. Sensing his
passenger's urgency, the driver tipped his hat, and the car leapt forward into
the early evening traffic, soon just a speck among the rush...
[soon after, in the Bus terminals ladies room]
Kendra: [hopping up and down madly] "I thought I'd never make it!" [dashing
into a stall, a relieved sigh is soon heard] "finally..." [she blinks and
sniffs a little] "I smell Panda-chan...! [dashes out of the stall (AFTER
getting ready for outdoors)]
[outside the terminal]
Kendra: PAAAAANNNNNNNDDAAAAAA-CCCCHHHHHAAAAANNNNNN!!!!!!! [sniffs a bit
and jumps onto the roof of a passing car, then to the next and so forth,
following the telltale scent of Panda and bamboo-breath]
[Meanwhile, back at home...]
[Aaron runs out of the kitchen, followed by a thick cloud of black smoke and
running into the livingroom, which looks like there's been a week long party
even though Kendra's only been gone for a couple days...no cockroaches...it
scared them too much]
Aaron: [covered in bits of failed dinner] KEEENNNNDDDRRRRAAAAAA!!!!!!!
[sniffles a bit and collapses into a chair that's already covered in enough
dust and carbage to have been a year old] She didn't have to take my
wallet...I can't even order takeout...MAN CANNOT LIVE ON MACORONI AND RAMEN
ALONE!
