Thanks for all your help on subscribing to r.a.a.c. My sysadmin may or
may not add it to our news server - something about what kind of
"feeds" they get. He did point out the newsgroup called
"rec.arts.anime.stories" - is this the same thing?
Tell your sysadmin that there was an organization vote in March in
news.groups, and the result was that rec.arts.anime.creative was approved to
replace rec.arts.anime.stories. RAAS was rmgrouped at the end of March (he
should know what that is - it means that raas was officially deleted from
use). RAAC was created a week or two before RAAS was rmgrouped.
I finally accessed it through Compuserve. I tried posting a message
there - no response. I tried browsing for messages - nothing.
I understand it's a moderated group - how often does it get updated?
It gets updated whenever the moderator has time to post stories to it - once
every week or two, and usually 20+ stories come thru each update.
Be warned - raac, like raas before it, is *not* a discussion group. It is a
place to get distribution for your COMPLETED stories or story parts. I'm
going to post the RAAC FAQ to this mailing list so everyone can see the
moderator's rules :)
Has anyone submitted a story to it recently?
Yes, and it showed up about a week later (as expected). BTW - anything that
you send to raac automatically get archived at ftp.std.com.
