Yeah, and it's the one BIG problem I have with the series...half of
the major relationships were deus ex machina'd in there.  No more
fiancee problems, get a love potion!
Still a great series, but this did bother me...

That did wear off over time, but I never bothered to say that. It was sort
of too gradual for anyone to really notice...
