Before you go any further, go watch a few episodes of the old TV series
(yeah, the one with Nimoy), and a few of the episodes of the more recent TV
series.  The reason I say this is that the movie royally sucked in
comparison to either tv series.

That's why I haven't/WON'T go see it.  I used to watch the original in re-runs
a while back [surprizing I still remember how it went, actually] and I can
tell just from the comercials that they've taken a previously well made, great
idea, and trashed it.  Man, I'm getting sick of everybody bringing back the old
shows, and ruining them.  How many other people have noticed how many "new"
shows and movies that have come out in the past couple of years are actually
poorly made shadows of shows that were originally made a long while ago.
Geesh, where did all of the creativity go, here to the ML ^_-
