Does this inter-dimensional shift only happen when he's not watching where
he's going?  That's when its happened both times.

	Arriving at the theater they received a shock.  The movie that they were
Going to see Elfquest that had finally been completed and imported from the
U S of all places wasn't showing.  Instead they saw advertisements for Star Wars

The movie they were going to see was Elfquest, which had finally been completed
and imported from the US (of all places).  However, Instead of Elfquest, they
saw advertisments for...

Why should this be such a shock to her?  Wasn't she one of the ones who 
commented how unlikely the odds were that a cartoon would look so much like her
and her friends?

Shouldn't she also realize that acting on that information could be dangerous,
because its likely to be partially wrong? 

should have been.  Instead there rose a large dojo with the words Tendo anything goes
school of  indiscriminate grappling written in kenji on the door.

odd, is there some reason (other than convienience, of course!) that the Tendo-
dojo (a house from anime) replaced Ami's house (another anime character's
house)?  Could there be something special about that spot?

Another question occured to me.  The first 'ripple' 'ported con through time
and space, while this one only moved through time (excluding the dimension
travel).  ie: the first one moved him from US to later time in Japan, while
second one moved only through time, not space.

Doing a good job, especially if you've already gotten far enough with the plot 
that I can start finding holes in it.  Keep it up ^_^
